GC 2009: Fable II Will Be Episodic
The popular role playing game is being broken into bits.
August 19, 2009 - Today at the Microsoft Press Conference at Gamescom in Germany Peter Molyneux made a number of announcements regarding the Fable series. The first chunks of information had to do with the previously released Fable II.
The game will now be available to download as episodic content and the first part will be a free download released on September 29th. The rest of the game will be released later in chunks. In total the game will be broken into five parts and will be fully compatible with Knothole Island and See the Future.
Pricing and timing for the entire set of downloads is unknown at this point, but this should be an interesting experiment in downloadable content.
